What does Nuwa mean?
Nuwa, which translates to ‘lovely woman’ in Chinese, is a mother goddess in ancient Chinese mythology. It is said that she rescued humanity in the midst of a great calamity and gave humans the ability to reproduce. Her spirit of devotion, compassion and nurturing resemble Nuwa’s mission closely. These are some of the reasons why, when Dr. Eastin’s 9-year-old daughter suggested Nuwa to her mom as they brainstormed names for the clinic, it was instantly an easy choice!
A vision of diverse, holistic fertility specialists working collaboratively.
Dr. Eastin has been passionate about helping people conceive for over 14 years. Upon relocation to Gresham after years of working in integrative clinics in Portland, she realized she missed the powerful dynamic of a multi-modality clinic. She dreamed of bringing together a team of experts in the field of fertility to offer diverse modalities to address the root causes of fertility challenges and support all aspects of health. A few years later, and here is Nuwa in it’s new manifestation! Nuwa brings together experienced practitioners of east Asian, naturopathic, and chiropractic medicine as well as massage, craniosacral and nutrition, to deeply support not only anyone on the fertility journey, but anyone at all that wants to get to the root of things and live their best life!
Our Approach
We use traditional Chinese medical principles as a foundation of our practice as well as the associated and supportive modalities of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, traditional Chinese dietary therapy, bodywork, and qigong instruction.
We incorporate modern conventional knowledge of physiology and pathology, naturopathic principles, Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy®, nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle coaching to support, harmonize, and strength your body and mind in order to achieve physical, mental, and emotional goals to live joyfully and with ease.

Dr. Eastin and NUWA clinic are amazing and are highly recommended. I've done a lot of alternative medicine, Chinese medicine, body work etc and I truly appreciate Dr Eastin's approach to healing and patient care. The facilities are nice, clean and calm.
Here's the thing- last fall I was suffering from a sudden and chronic stomach GI issue that my allopathic doctors couldn't diagnose or provide care or relief for. I'm so glad I tried acupuncture and chose Dr Eastin. Her care proved to be such an important , critical, helpful part of my healing journey, which lasted over three months . Stephanie is wonderful to work with! Accupunture is amazing in general but Stephanie is able to treat every issue I have had come up. Weather it's endometrosis flare, or inability to use my hand or wrist from work issues.
